Father of Ty Buckner Dies at 81

Raymond Tyrus “Ray” Buckner Jr., father of Associate Vice President for Communications & Marketing Ty Buckner, died Nov. 7. He was 81.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggy; three siblings; three sons; and six grandchildren. A celebration of his life was held Nov. 11 at First Presbyterian Church in Lincolnton. His obituary is available online.
