Tom Brokaw Speaks Nov. 29

Tom Brokaw, who will speak at 7:30 p.m. at War Memorial Auditorium, was anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News for 21 years until 2004, and he remains a special correspondent for the network. He has received a number of awards, including the Edward R. Murrow Lifetime Achievement Award, a dozen Emmys, two Peabody and two duPont awards.
He has covered some of the most notable events during the 20th century, and has interviewed every American president since Lyndon Johnson. He reported from the Berlin Wall on the night it fell and was the first American journalist to interview Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev one on one.
Tom is the best-selling author of six books including The Greatest Generation. His latest book is The Time of Our Lives: A Conversation About America.
