Miriam Biber Joins Alumni Relations

Miriam Biber ’02 has been named assistant director of alumni relations for administration and communication.
She began work Jan. 28 and will provide administrative support and communications coordination for the Office of Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association.
Prior to joining Guilford, she worked at the Lotus Center, a holistic health center in Greensboro, most recently as director of operations, and she is co-director of and a health coach with Sustainable Health Choices, a business she co-founded in 2007 to provide holistic health services and education.
Earlier in her career, she worked as a program associate with Earth Share of North Carolina in Durham and as an AmeriCorps VISTA member in Lyons, Mich.
She has been a board member of the natural foods co-op Deep Roots Market since 2010 and vice president of the board since 2011.
While at Guilford as a student, she studied abroad in Guadalajara, México; completed an honors thesis in her double major, religious studies and women’s studies; and received the Lucretia Mott Women’s Studies Award.
