Men’s Lacrosse Picked Seventh in Preseason ODAC Poll

Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men’s lacrosse coaches tabbed Guilford seventh in the league’s annual preseason poll.

Guilford head coach Tom Carmean begins his third season with six starters among 21 returning letter winners. Last year, the Quakers had a 6-9 overall record and went 1-6 in the ODAC.

Midfielder Chase Clausen ’14 returns for his third campaign after receiving third-team all-conference honors last season. He was second on the team with 35 points on 22 goals and 13 assists.

Nick Huckins ’15 is back after leading the Quakers with 65 ground balls last season. Nick Mann ’13 is in his senior year with the Quakers and scored 15 goals and four assists in 2012. Juquan Tellis ’15 was the second on the team in ground balls (50) a year ago.

The Quakers open their season Feb. 17 against Colorado College at Guilford’s Armfield Athletic Center.
