April 19, 2013
David has worked frequently in Montevideo over two decades as a cultural specialist for the United States Information Agency and received Uruguay’s highest theatre arts award, the Florencio, in 1992.
He was an adviser in the creation of the school’s curriculum at its founding in 1993 and has taught there previously as a guest artist.
The school, now one of Uruguay’s premiere training programs for professional actors, invited him to return this year as the keynote teacher in a week-long celebration of its 20th anniversary . The six hours of classes each day will focus on Shakespeare and Chekhov.
